Air Fryer Brussel Sprouts

This recipe was a taste test of Purple Brussel Sprouts. We received one stalk through the CSA of Boldly Grown Farms. This recipe was also a new venture of cooking recipes in a basket-type Air Fryer. I bought the Air Fryer on Black Friday. I keep it handy directly on a kitchen counter, to use morning or evening.

Ingredients

Purple Brussel Sprouts, 12, cut in half or thirds

Water, 2 cups warm

Olive oil, 2 teaspoons

Kosher salt, ¼ teaspoon

Black pepper, ¼ teaspoon

Air Fryer parchment paper, 1 sheet

Preparation

Cut off the ends of the Brussel sprouts and remove any damaged outer leaves.

Cut in half or thirds.

Place in the warm water, allowing to sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

Preheat the Air Fryer to 375 for at least 2 minutes.

I use a parchment paper to line the bottom of the basket.

Remove the Brussel sprouts from the water and pat fry.

Place in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil.

Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Using your fingers, roll the Brussel sprouts in the oil, coating completely.

Place in a single layer in the basket of the Air Fryer.

Using the same temperature, cook the Brussel sprouts for 5 minutes.

Slide the basket out and shake, so the Brussel sprouts roll around.

Push back in and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Serve.
