Monday, November 2

11:04 a.m .: Heart and bank broken – Caller reported that she had been asked by a male that she had met online to deposit a large check he had sent her and in turn purchase several gift cards with the deposit and give him the gift card numbers. The caller found that the check was no good and the money on the gift cards had already been withdrawn. Talbott St., La Conner.

2:17 p.m .: Good deed deputies – Caller requested an occupied vehicle that had been parked in their lot for a couple days be removed. Deputies contacted the vehicle and occupant, who was found to be homeless and living in the vehicle. The owner said he needed motor oil for the vehicle before he could leave. Deputies purchased the motor oil with their own money and provided it to the vehicle owner. La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.

8:28 p.m .: Overactive imagination – Deputies responded to a report of vehicles coming and going from a barn in the area. The caller feared they were running a “chop shop”. Deputies contacted the caller who said the property owner had rented it out to new tenants. Channel Drive., La Conner.

Wednesday, November 4

8:30 p.m .: Checking out new neighbors – Deputies responded to the area regarding a possible trespassing. Deputies contacted the new tenant who had just started renting the property. Channel Drive., La Conner.

Friday, November 6

10:23 a.m .: Good deed done – Deputies recovered a lost driver’s license and returned it to the owner, who had lost it on a walk. Valentine Rd., Greater La Conner.

Saturday, November 7

5:39 p.m .: Celebrating what? – Caller reported hearing gun shots. Deputies determined this was fireworks coming from the Swinomish Reservation. Commercial St., La Conner.

6:28 p.m .: More celebrating – Deputies responded to a report of fireworks in the area. When deputies arrive, the subjects had already left. Maple Ave., La Conner.
