    I have been living here just a year now, but my neighbors and the community as a whole have been so open, friendly and inviting that I feel totally at home here.     I read your recent editorial (No military aid to Israel, Oct. 25) with a mix of agreement and sorrow. The horror and inhumanity around the Israel/Palestine conflict seems to defy solution.
