Sunday, December 3

9:23 p.m. I spy – Deputy identified a stolen vehicle as it left the Shell station. The Deputy tried to stop the vehicle which then accelerated to speeds over 100mph. The Deputy chose not to pursue. Suspect info was confirmed and charges will be filed. La Conner Whitney Rd., La Conner.

Monday, December 4

7:26 a.m. Block party – Subject had parked her vehicle in the road while removing trash from her driveway. Vehicle was blocking and the subject was told this was not an option and the car needed to be moved. Maple Ave., La Conner.

2:29 p.m. Too straight – Driver missed a turn on Fir Island Road and crashed into a tree. The driver had minor injuries and believed he fell asleep at the wheel. Fir Island Rd., Mount Vernon.

Wednesday, December 6

1:30 a.m. Not that elusive – Multiple attempts were made to stop a vehicle for no tail lights and the driver eluded each time. Deputies did not pursue due to high speeds and risk to the public. The car and driver were eventually contacted in Snohomish County and charges are being filed for eluding. Bradshaw Rd., Mount Vernon.

Thursday. December 7

10:32 p.m. Volume up – Report of loud music in the parking lot of the marina. A Deputy checked the area but did not locate any issues. State St., La Conner.

Friday, December 8

4:33 p.m. School patrol – requested more patrol during school let out for speeding vehicles and driving issues with students. Skagit County Sheriff’s staff will provide patrol during those times.

Saturday, December 9

5:07 p.m. Bad Parking – Report of multiple parking issues during an event in town. A deputy arrived and located several violations which they cited for. Vehicles were blocking the road and one was parked over the crosswalk and in a firelane.

Sunday, December 10

9:42 a.m. Dogs gone – Two dogs reported loose and in the road. A deputy checked and did not locate the dogs. Best Rd., La Conner.
