Farmers greet Skagit summer sunrise

SUMMER COMES TO THE SKAGIT – On the first full day of summer, when the sun rose just after 5 a.m. over the Skagit Valley, hard working farmers prepared to harvest the tulip bulbs that once dazzled this landscape in April. Every season has a cycle here. Come fall the bulbs travel to gardeners across the nation so that they can be planted and enjoyed next spring – a piece of the #MagicSkagit shared in another form.
