BREAKING: Limedock building apartments application filed

TWO APARTMENTS APPLIED FOR - This notice was stapled to the wall of the Limedock Building, 109 North First Street, March 8. The deadline to mail written comments and become a party of record is 3 p.m. March 14. A conditional use permit is part of the application. There will be a public hearing March 21.

Peter Anderson, owner of the Limedock building, 109 North First Street in La Conner, has filed a permit application with the Town of La Conner planning department to create two residential apartments by remodeling the second floor office space. Two gabled dormers will be added to the roof.

The town planning commission will hold a hearing March 21, 6 p.m. in Maple Hall. Comments will be accepted at the public hearing. The meeting will be on Zoom, also.

Those submitting comments automatically become a party of record and will be notified of decisions.

Mail comments on this project to Planning Director Michael Davolio by 3 p.m. March 14 to P.O. Box 400 La Conner 98257.

The application was filed Jan. 18, 2023 and determined complete Feb. 24. Notice was posted on the building March 8.

Permits required include La Conner and Skagit County building permits and Town permits for shoreline substantial development, change of use, conditional use and completion of the SEPA checklist.
