BIG DAY FOR LITTLE LEAGUERS – La Conner youth league players and coaches enjoyed a Sunday afternoon watching the Mariners edge Tampa Bay 2-1 in big league action at T-Mobile Park. The La Conner Youth League transitioned from Hedlin’s ballfield to the La Conner schools, an adjustment that has not always been easy.
But the players, coaches and families had a much easier go of it on a recent sun-splashed Sunday afternoon at the ideal home away from home: T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
The contingent joined others in the region taking part in Little League Day, May 8.
Besides seeing the Seattle Mariners edge Tampa Bay 2-1, the group walked on the field before the game, posed for photos in front of iconic Mariners statues and some even met the Mariner Moose, the team’s...
