Monday, March 28

2:56 p.m.: Inn trespasser – A person who has previously trespassed was on the premise but was gone when deputies arrived. An hour and a half later, she returned. She was contacted and removed from the area. La Conner Country Inn, La Conner.

Tuesday, March 29

5:02 p.m.: Bridge blocker – Caller reported a trailer blocking the Rainbow Bridge. Nothing was found when law enforcement arrived. Rainbow Bridge, La Conner.

5:48 p.m.: Truck bed thief – Caller left his truck in a lot for several hours. When he returned, he found his truck bed liner missing. He did not believe it blew out. La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.

8:17 p.m.: Padilla Bay prowl – Another smashed window at the south trailhead parking of Padilla Bay trail around 4 p.m. A coin purse was taken. Bay View Edison Rd., Bay View.

Wednesday, March 30

10:00 p.m.: Stargazing accident – Caller reported a motor vehicle accident. People were out of the car along the side of the road when it happened. It was discovered they were viewing the Northern Lights. La Conner Whitney Rd./Morris St., La Conner.

Thursday, March 31

2:37 p.m.: Bay View prowl – Caller reported their window had been smashed at the south trail head parking of Padilla Bay trail. Nothing was taken. Bay View Edison Rd., Bay View.

Saturday, April 2

10:04 a.m.: Runaway driver – Caller was concerned about a van that had been frequenting the area and had damage to its window. Deputies were familiar with both the vehicle and its owner. The driver refused to exit the vehicle, likely due to his $10,000 Skagit County District Court bench warrant. Deputies told the subject he was under arrest and he started the vehicle. After being told to stop, he backed into a deputy’s patrol motorcycle and drove away. Calhoun/Penn Rds., Greater La Conner.

12:32 p.m.: Suspicious – Caller reported someone walking in the area of the dike. The subject was not located. Channel Dr., La Conner.

5:38 p.m.: Tulip field parking – Caller was a frustrated motorist who had already left the area and just wanted deputies to do something about people parking in areas that have flowers. Beaver Marsh Rd., Greater La Conner.
