4:14 p.m .: Cash in handbag – Deputies investigated a cold vehicle prowl. The caller said her window was broken and a handbag with cash, ID and glasses had been taken along with her car keys. Beaver Marsh Rd., Greater La Conner.

4:18 p.m .: Porch thief – Deputies responded to a report of a maroon two tone truck driving up driveways and stealing packages. Deputies checked the area for the vehicle, Unable to Locate. Kamb / Calhoun Rds., Greater La Conner.

4:52 p.m .: Prowling Beaver Marsh – Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle prowl that occurred on Beaver March Rd. The caller was calling for a friend that did not speak English. The caller did not have any details for the vehicle prowl, but just wanted to report it for his friend. Beaver Marsh Rd., Greater La Conner.

5:49 p.m .: Car accident – Deputies responded to a report of a car vs pedestrian MVA. The reporting party was the driver of the vehicle and believed he had just struck a pedestrian. Deputies arrived on scene and contacted the driver of the involved vehicle. The driver was eventually detained by deputies. Washington State Patrol was requested to respond due to the involved pedestrian fatality. WSP Troopers arrived on scene, conducted field sobriety test on the driver and arrested him on suspicion of DUI. The Skagit County Traffic Engineer was called out to the scene and Public works staff closed the roadway during the investigation. McLean / Bradshaw Rds., Greater La Conner.
