Monday, January 3

5:58 p.m.: Nip from a stray – Caller calling about a stray dog he took in that had tried to bite him. The caller was advised he could surrender the dog to the Humane Society. N. 2nd St., La Conner.

Tuesday, January 4

1:08 p.m.: Tracking a thief – Caller reported a retail theft from the same suspect in a prior retail theft at their store. The caller was advised to call 911 if the suspect attempted to return to her store. S. 1st St., La Conner.

6:14 p.m.: Cautious caller – Report of a suspicious vehicle in Conway. The vehicle was occupied by two males and was described as a faded black Jeep Liberty with no spare tire. The occupants had not committed a crime, but the caller is concerned due to recent vehicle prowls in the area. Main St., Conway.

Wednesday, January 5

4:24 p.m.: Grey Grand Prix gone – Reported vehicle theft. The vehicle is a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix, grey in color. Calhoun Rd., Greater La Conner.

Thursday, January 6

10:13 a.m.: 2nd Street prowls – Caller reported a cold vehicle prowl. The caller said her neighbor alerted her to their vehicle having a broken window and when she went out to her vehicle, she found her window was also broken. The caller was missing her purse from the trunk. S. 2nd St., La Conner.

Friday, January 7

11:31 a.m.: Hunter did not shoot – Caller reported an interrupted vehicle prowl. The caller was hunting at the time and observed the suspects break his back window. The caller yelled at the suspects who left the area. The caller described the two suspect vehicles as possibly a white Toyota 4Runner and a grey 4Runner. Bay View Edison Rd., Greater Bay View.

11:41 a.m.: Prowled down the road – Caller reported a cold vehicle prowl. Bay View Edison Rd., Greater Bay View.

11:43 a.m.: Cold theft called in – Caller reported a theft of a mountain bike and propane tank within the last two weeks. Best Rd., Greater La Conner.

Saturday, January 8

8:23 p.m.: Stolen / Returned – Caller reported their truck was just stolen from their driveway. The caller reported that they had been a victim of a vehicle prowl a few days prior and the suspect could have taken a spare set of keys to the truck at that time. Deputies were in the La Conner area at the time of the theft and were unable to locate the victim vehicle. Deputies were able to review surveillance video of the incident, but were unable to make a ID on either suspect. On Jan. 10 deputies located the stolen truck abandoned in Mount Vernon at the Best Western Motel. The truck was returned to the owners. S. 2nd St., La Conner.

Monday, January 10

8:57 a.m.: Keys taken – Deputies responded to a cold burglary. The caller said the business had been entered overnight and they noticed that keys to a van had been taken. Best Rd., Greater La Conner.
