Monday, July 19

11:07 a.m.: Daughter verified – Caller reported her daughter as a missing person. Deputies had contact with the daughter and determined that the daughter was not a missing person. Pearle Jensen Wy., La Conner.

9:44 p.m.: Seat belts work – Deputies investigated a one car rollover accident. The three occupants were wearing their seatbelts and were not injured in the crash. La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.

Wednesday, July 21

8:04 a.m.: One less cat – Caller found a deceased cat in her back yard. Deputies gave the caller options to dispose of the feline. S. 2nd St., La Conner.

Thursday, July 22

7:46 a.m.: Vandalism defined – Caller reported damage to parked school buses. Deputies responded and determined that a vehicle had spun circles in the gravel parking lot and sprayed rocks onto the buses, breaking several windows. Damage to the buses was estimated at $2,600. N. 6th St., La Conner. (See “School” story, p.4)

9:42 p.m.: Neighborly boat assistance – Caller reported engine failure while under way in the Swinomish Channel. The Swinomish PD boat was nearby and requested by deputies to assist the disabled vessel. Pioneer Park, N. 2nd St., La Conner.

Saturday, July 24

10:57 a.m.: Prowl in town – Caller reported, they had heard a noise about 3 a.m., but did not get up to check on it. They later found their car window had been broken. A leather bag was stolen and a tablet, cell phone, camera and cash had been taken. Finley Lane, La Conner.

Sunday, July 25

7:55 a.m.: A leg up – Caller reported their dog had found a prosthetic leg while swimming at the boat launch. Deputies determined this boat launch was on Fir Island and under the jurisdiction of Fish and Wildlife. The call was transferred to them for investigation. Dike Rd., Conway.

9:26 p.m.: Not nice neighbor – Caller reported that a neighbor had driven by and yelled at him. Deputies determined this was not a violation of law. Downtown, La Conner.

9:43 p.m.: Drunk in town – Caller reported an intoxicated male being disorderly and wanted him removed. Deputies contacted the male, issued him a trespass admonishment and gave him a courtesy transport from the scene. S. 2nd St., La Conner.

Monday, July 26

9:33 a.m.: IRS calling? Ha! – Caller reported getting a scam call from the “IRS”. No money or personal information was given. S. 1st St., La Conner.

9:38 a.m.: Modern technology – Deputies responded to a two car, blocking, non-injury accident. It was called in by Sirius XM crash notification. Best Rd., Greater La Conner.
