Summer adventure camp for school kids

La Conner School District

Concerned about student participation during the COVID-19 pandemic, the La Conner School District is holding a summer adventure camp to help students re-engage with in-person learning. Rather than concentrate on academics alone, the district is offering a STEAM theme (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math).

Summer Adventure Camp is for students who have finished elementary school through middle school grades. Classes start July 19 and include Skagit Safari, Aviation, Make Your Own Movie, Invention Camp and Art Academy. Younger students will visit the Swinomish 13 Moons garden and all students will visit the school’s community garden.

Transportation will be provided and the Adventure Camp is free.

Information and a link to registration is on the district website.

Contact Andy Wheeler or Marlene Brenton with questions.

Register by June 28.
