New ‘Healthy Washington’ regional COVID-19 recovery plan

Gov. Jay Inslee Tuesday announced “Healthy Washington – Roadmap to Recovery,” a regional COVID-19 phased recovery plan starting Jan. 11.
The north region is Skagit, Island, San Juan and Whatcom counties.
Regions start in Phase 1 of a two phase approach and must meet four metrics to go to Phase 2. Phase 1 metrics are 1. Decreasing trend in two-week rate of COVID-19 cases per 100K population; 2. Decreasing trend in two-week rate new COVID-19 hospital admission rates per 100K population; 3. ICU occupancy of less than 90%; and 4. COVID-19 test positivity rate of less than 10%.
