Monday, Dec. 7

3:20 p.m.: Cows in dispute – Deputies responded to a civil issue over livestock that were involved in a dissolving business relationship. Skagit City Rd., Conway.

Tuesday, Dec. 8

7:28 a.m.: Stuck truck – Deputies responded to a traffic hazard. Deputies located a box truck partially blocking the roadway. Deputies stood by until the vehicle could be removed. La Conner Whitney /McLean Rds., Greater La Conner.

11:06 a.m.: Spitting, not in wind – Deputies contacted the caller who stated a male walking over the Rainbow Bridge spit on his car as he drove by. Swinomish Police were able to contact the suspect on the reservation side of the bridge. Pioneer Pkwy., La Conner.

4:11 p.m.: Biker wanted – Deputies recovered an abandoned black Schwinn bicycle from the bus stop. The caller said it had been left unsecured at the bus stop for the last three days. Park /Caledonia Sts., La Conner.

Wednesday, Dec. 9

12:06 p.m.: Sticky fingers slapped – Deputies responded to a report of shoplifting. The victim provided a description of the suspect and a license plate for the vehicle. Deputies contacted the suspect and cited him for the theft. A market, Morris St., La Conner.

Thursday, Dec. 10

7:54 a.m.: Wake-up call – Caller reported a motorhome parked at the end of the roadway. Deputies contacted the motorhome and its occupants who had been camping overnight. Channel Dr, La Conner.

10:05 a.m.: Tired travelers – Caller reported a black BMW in the parking lot with two people sleeping in it. Deputies contacted the occupants who said they just got into town at 0600 hours and wanted to take a nap. La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.

6:29 p.m.: Going in circles – Caller reported several vehicles driving circles around a motorhome in a parking lot. Deputies contacted the motorhome and the male occupant. The occupant said there were no vehicles driving circles around him that he was aware of. Commercial St., La Conner.

10:45 p.m.: High octane biker – Deputies responded to a motorcycle accident report. Deputies arrived on scene and observed the motorcycle in the roadway and the rider lying near the guard rail. The rider was transported to the hospital for his injuries and was being investigated for suspicion of DUI by the Sheriff’s Office. Maupin / Fir Island Rds., Conway.

Friday, Dec. 11

11:38 a.m.: Sensing horse hunger – Caller reported a horse that was not being fed. Animal Control was notified and will be investigating. Bradshaw Rd., Greater La Conner.

Saturday, Dec. 12

3:49 a.m.: Homeless in La Conner – Deputies responded to a report of two suspicious subjects who were parked on the street in front of the Channel Lodge. Deputies contacted the male and female in the vehicle who said they were living in the car. They were asked to move along. N. 1st St., La Conner.

2:08 p.m.: Drivers can’t read – Deputies responded to a parking problem. Deputies contacted several vehicles parked in the posted no parking zone and told them to move along. A market, Fir Island Rd., Conway.

3:01 p.m.: Dog delegation – Caller reported her dog was attacked by another dog. The caller was referred to town hall. N. 6th St., La Conner.

Sunday, Dec. 13

10:10 a.m.: Pinned to post – Deputies responded to a forklift vs pedestrian accident. Deputies learned that a forklift had accidently backed into another employee and pinned him against a post. The victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance. A nursery, Best Rd., Greater La Conner.

11:56 a.m.: Swell guys – Deputies responded to a report of two kayakers who were stranded on Hope Island and were unable to get back to the mainland due to large swells. Deputies responded with the assistance of a Swinomish Police boat and brought the kayakers back to the mainland along with their gear and boats. S. Hope Island, Greater La Conner.
