La Conner has long been considered one of the most livable communities in the Puget Sound region.

The trick, for an equal length of time, has been to find available housing here.

Now the Town Planning Commission has crafted proposals designed to address the local housing shortage which could also help provide a positive economic ripple effect as La Conner faces projected revenue shortfalls related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
