Monday, August 10

7:33 p.m.: Not here or there – Caller reported her mother as a possible missing person and another person that looked like her mother was living in the house and driving her car. Deputies contacted the mother who was fine and said this may be related to a substance abuse issue. Whatcom St., La Conner.

Tuesday, August 11

6:55 a.m.: Dawn weaver – Caller reported a vehicle that was crossing the center line and driving in an unsafe manner. The vehicle was last seen on SR 20, Washington State Patrol advised. Best / Chilberg Rds., Greater La Conner.

5:52 p.m.: In broad daylight – Theft of license plates. S. 1st St., La Conner.

Wednesday, August 12

9:34 a.m.: Escort service – Deputies transported a subject from Deception Pass Bridge to the jail, where he was booked on his outstanding warrants. Deception Pass Bridge.

3:12 p.m.: Tow it – Deputies checked on an abandoned vehicle left behind by a tenant. Deputies were unable to contact the registered owner and advised the property owner he could have it impounded if he wished. Bradshaw Rd., Greater La Conner.

Thursday, August 13

9:51 a.m.: Tow it, too – Caller had questions on how to get rid of a vehicle that had been used for parts. The caller was directed to the auditor’s office to obtain a lost title. Ring Ln., La Conner.

2:39 p.m.: A matter of time – Caller reported a hit and run MVA. The caller said his side mirror had been knocked off his vehicle. The caller had a license plate of the suspect vehicle and a phone number. Deputies are continuing the investigation. S. 1st St., La Conner.

Friday, August 14

9:24 a.m.: Don’t trust men – Caller reported her daughter and grandchildren were out for a walk and a male in a suburban drove up and asked if she needed a ride. The caller thought this was suspicious and wanted to report it. Maupin / Rawlins Rds, Conway.

10:48 a.m.: Slow ‘em down – Caller requested extra traffic control in the 35mph zone. McLean Rd., Greater La Conner.

10:42 p.m.: Beamed up – Naval Air Station Whidbey reporting a pilot observed a green laser being shone up from the La Conner area. Deputies checked the La Conner area and did not locate anyone. Deputies also advised Swinomish Police to keep an eye out on their jurisdiction. La Conner airspace.

Saturday, August 15

12:45 p.m.: Higher powers needed – Caller reported a sunk sail boat in the Guemes channel near Saddlebag Island. Deputies believe this was a reported sail boat that had been run aground previously. U.S. Coast Guard was notified and Dept of Natural Resources will handle the vessel recovery. SR 20 / Twin Bridges., Greater La Conner.

12:57 p.m.: No hot dog – Deputies responded to a report of a dog panting in the back seat of a parked vehicle. Deputies found the vehicle which was parked in the shade with the windows cracked. The dog was not in distress. La Conner Whitney Road., Greater La Conner.

8:59 p.m.: Unsafe trail ahead – Caller reported a possible stalking incident involving his daughter at the trail head. Bay View Edison Rd, Bayview.

Sunday, August 16

10:42 a.m.: Heart shaped? – Reported graffiti on tree at high school. N. 6th St., La Conner.

12:57 p.m.: A prophet? – Report of a male holding a sign and yelling at cars. Deputies contacted him. He was leaving the area. Fir Island Rd. roundabout, Conway.
