Tuesday May 31

8:57 a.m.: Thief – Somebody tried to pry open the drop box for the pay parking lot at the south end ofFirst Street in La Conner.

2:02 p.m.: Not friendly – Someone left threatening notes for students at La Conner Middle School. The school staff handled it.

Wednesday June 1

11:50 a.m.: Lost keys – A visitor stopped in at the La Conner Chamber of Commerce office to report that they lost a large set of keys — two of them to Fords. So far, they haven’t been found or turned in.

6:07 p.m.: Runaway – A kid who ran away fromBurlington turned up in La Conner and returned to his parents.

Thursday June 2

1:45 p.m.: Kid in car – Someone reported that a small child was left inside a running vehicle while the woman driving went into a store on First Street in La Conner for about 10 minutes. The vehicle was gone when the deputy arrived.

Friday June 3

5:42 p.m.: Big ticket – A driver was cited for driving on a suspended license near the La Conner roundabout.

Saturday June 4

12:58 a.m.: Arrest – Swinomish police arrested a 48-year-old woman for driving under the influence onLa Conner Whitney Road near the Farmhouse Inn north of La Conner.

1:08 p.m.: Potty party – Two men, age 58 and 65, were cited for drinking alcohol in public near the public restrooms onMorris Street in La Conner.

5:34 p.m.: Phone fraud – A La Conner resident reported a phone fraud attempt by a caller who said they were with Apple Computer but were not.

10:40 p.m.: Noise – There was a complaint about a loud band playing at a La Conner watering hole onFirst Street. The establishment shut their doors to help muffle the music.

Sunday June 5

12:42 a.m.: Assault – A 35-year-old man assaulted his 36-year-old girlfriend, 900 blockMaple Avenue, La Conner. The man was arrested for domestic violence assault. Swinomish Police assisted sheriff’s deputies on the call.
