Monday May 16

4:04 p.m.: Worth checking – Someone inConway reported possible abuse of an 8-year-old child that occurred inSnohomishCounty. The case was referred to that county’s child protective services.

9:44 p.m.: Bad customers – A clerk at the Shell station atLa Conner Whitney Road and Hwy. 20 wanted four obnoxious customers removed. The disorderly quartet left before deputies arrived and no actual crime had occurred. Swinomish Police also responded to assist on the call.

Wednesday May 18

10:23 a.m.: No guns – Only ammo was being sold at a moving sale for a business onMorris Street.

12:26 p.m.: Assault – It didn’t happen here. A 17-year-old girl in La Conner reported that she was assaulted by her 18-year-old boyfriend while in Marysville. The Marysville Police Department is investigating.

Friday May 20

1:52 a.m.: Domestic dispute – There was a report of a roadside domestic dispute occurring near the roundabout inConway. A husband and wife were sitting in a parking lot talking it over when the deputy arrived. They said they had an argument, but there had been no assault, and therefore no crime.

1:09 p.m.: Medical aid – A La Conner woman was transported to a hospital for a possible stroke.

1:46 p.m.: Patrol check – Someone at La Conner Marina was concerned that a former employee might cause damage to his property.

2:37 p.m.: Court order – There was a possible violation of a vulnerable adult protection order when a person called a protected person inConway.

4:13 p.m.: New codes – A gate code was changed at La Conner Marina.

4:27 p.m.: Harassment – A person in La Conner reported receiving harassing calls at her home.

Saturday May 21

11 a.m.: Hit & run – A driver hit another car in front of the Post Office in La Conner. The suspect driver was contacted and returned to the scene of the accident.

4:23 p.m.: Joy ride – Kids were reported to be driving a golf cart around La Conner Schools property. The deputy was unable to locate them.

6:12 p.m.: Fuel spill – A boat moored on the La Conner waterfront was leaking diesel fuel into the channel. The Environmental Protection Agency is investigating.

Sunday May 22

2:14 p.m.: Oops! – A La Conner resident trying to make a call out of the country accidently dialed 911.

Monday May 23

8:13 a.m.: Drunk driver – Someone reported a possible drunk driver onFir Island Road inConway. The deputy couldn’t locate the vehicle.
