Tuesday Oct 6

2:45 a.m.: Assault – A 21-year-old La Conner woman called fromSkagitValleyHospital to report an assault. She said her husband, 28, had assaulted her at their home in the 700 block of Maple Ave. She had facial injuries. Her phone and laptop were also broken at the time of the assault. Deputies contacted the husband, who denied it all. But evidence matched that of an assault with him being the primary aggressor. He went to jail for domestic assault.

9:49 a.m.: Peace keeping – Civil standby at address onMaple Ave.

2:32 p.m.: Suspicious – Someone called in worried about a suspicious vehicle nearWashington Ave. and S.First Street in La Conner. It turned out it was owned by a person who was nearby.

Wednesday Oct 7

9:12 a.m.: Info, please – A person at La Conner Marina wanted advice on how to get paid for repairing a boat. He was advised how to contact the small claims court.

Thursday Oct 8

10:02 a.m.: Busted – Two boys were seen stealing small amounts of merchandise in Pioneer Market. Deputies contacted them at the school, where they were interviewed.

Friday Oct 9

8:33 p.m.: Obnoxious – A 25-year-oldMount Vernon man refused to leave the La Conner Whitney Road Shell Station after the clerk refused to sell him alcohol. Deputies issued a trespass notice to him, which means he will be arrested if he returns to the store.
