Yodi, the La Conner dog mauled by a coyote in June at the “dog beach” north of town, was back playing in the sand this week. Yodi, a 40-pound pooch, suffered leg injuries as two coyotes tried to drag her away before her owner could chase them off. The beach no longer has resident coyotes, and Yodi has a slight limp these days but enjoys her outings. – Photo by Don Coyote
