Monday Dec 15

3 p.m.: Suspicious bat – A man walked into the Doc Holliday’s gun shop in La Conner to complain that the business exists and said using a baseball bat would require more advanced thought. Several days later, a baseball bat was found on the front porch of the store. While it’s possible a child might have left the bat behind, the incident is on record.

Monday Dec 22

11:43 a.m.: Arrest – An intoxicated person was arrested near the public restrooms onMorris Street in La Conner on an outstanding arrest warrant for assault and was booked into Skagit County Jail.

3:17 p.m.: Unauthorized exploring – People were contacted about being in other people’s property near farmland north of La Conner, even though the place might appear abandoned.

3:54 p.m.: Harassment – A group of men were making fun or an acquaintance near the public restrooms in La Conner. They were gone when deputies arrived.

5:49 p.m.: Whacked! – A driver hit the stop sign atSouth Second Street andWashington Avenue in La Conner.

Tuesday Dec 23

9:01 a.m.: Alarm – An alarm went off at the Conway Post Office. The building was secure.

10:31 a.m.: Found pistol – A pistol that was previously reported missing near La Conner was found and returned to its owner.

3:44 p.m.: Public behavior – An intoxicated person was picked up in the vicinity of First and Morris streets in La Conner and given a ride home.

Wednesday Dec 24

1:02 p.m.: Found pistol – A resident onCaledonia Street in La Conner found a pistol that wasn’t his in a compartment of a vehicle he’d purchased about a year ago. The pistol was turned over to deputies.

Thursday Dec 25

11:11 p.m.: Domestic – A loud disagreement at a home onSouth Third Street in La Conner resulted in one of the parties finding somewhere else to spend the night.

Friday Dec 26

12:03 p.m.: Worn out welcome – An intoxicated man had been asked to leave a residence inConway. Deputies gave him a ride to a motel.

4:37 p.m.: Lost glasses – Someone reported that they’d lost a pair of prescription sunglasses in La Conner about a month ago.

9:10 p.m.: Duffle scuffle – A girlfriend took a duffle bag from her boyfriend, 900 blockMaple Ave., La Conner, and his shirt was with the duffle bag. She was gone when deputies arrived, but the duffle bag was located.

Saturday Dec 27

4:03 a.m.: All quiet – No barking dogs were located in the area ofMaple Ave, andCaledonia Street in La Conner.

10:19 a.m.: Big ticket – A driver was stopped near Best and Chilberg roads east of La Conner and got a ticket for driving on a suspended license and going 63 in a 50 miles per hour zone.

Sunday Dec 28

11:34 p.m.: A jerk – Someone beat on an employee’s car window after the La Conner Pantry and Pub closed. The employee didn’t report the incident for nearly an hour and had no suspect description. Deputies checked the area and couldn’t find anyone around.
