“Why” is the reason for which we get up every day. The “Why” is who we are. We find ourselves here in March, confronted with the evolving impact of COVID-19 and with market volatility with both local and global uncertainty.
My “Why” is believing a strong community that is understanding of others has the ability to remove obstacles to solve complicated problems which will enrich all our lives. My why is supported by my passion of what I do. My passion in my profession is to find and understand what matters most for my clients. What you do can be your passion to support your “Why”.
During the last few days I have had the opportunity to listen to hundreds of people in our community and throughout the United States. What I have found is truly remarkable! Throughout La Conner I have heard of people setting aside differences, putting our family and friends first while considering the health and safety needs of all and taking seriously our responsibility to our community. Understanding the needs of our neighbors, schools, children, elderly, food banks, senior and community centers and local businesses is what brings about a supportive and strong community.
My wife Michelle and I are so proud that we are able to work and live in La Conner. We have heard a lot about contagions lately. There are many kinds of contagions, like Kindness and Care for one another and Love. This isn’t an easy time. But it is times like this that a strong community can come together for family and friends, and to enrich and protect our incredible community of La Conner. We may have more uncertainties ahead of us, but I am certain we will be committed to staying focused on what matters most as a community and finding your “Why.”
Don’t chose fear: Choose to be the best you can be.
From a dedicated community member and resident.
Scott Price,
La Conner
