    Breaking: Somewhere between June 30 and July 10 people known to have been working for the La Conner Weekly News left town for the last time, transitioning to new employment. At the same time, staff from the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office settled into the office at La Conner Town Hall. Said staff then deployed, perhaps on vacation.
