6:06 p.m. Gave up license – Subject leaving the area of the marina hit another car and left the area. A Deputy tracked down the driver who was an older male who did not know he had hit anything. It was determined that the driver would be put in for a retest for his driver’s license. The driver later called back and stated that after talking with family, he would voluntarily give up his license and quit driving. Morris St., La Conner.

Friday, October 20

4:35 p.m. Lucky penny plus – Subject found a $100 bill on the ground and wanted to turn it in. The Sheriff’s office would not take possession of the money and advised the finder to hold on to it. The finder provided their information in case someone called in looking for the money. Center St. La Conner.

Saturday, October 21

3:56 p.m. Hide and seek – Caller reported missing dog but found it right away and called back to cancel the need for help. Bayview

5:06 p.m. Tribal trespass – Caller complained that commercial vessels were unloading onto trucks in the marina which was against tribal codes. The deputy did not locate the trucks and does not enforce tribal code. Sherman Ave., La Conner.

7:10 p.m. Trouble sniffer – Report of a possible DUI driver who had pulled into the market and had gone inside. The caller could smell alcohol and followed the subject as they left and parked on Maple. Caller left and the car remained parked with nobody in it or driving. Morris St. La Conner.

Sunday, October 22

9:11 a.m. Bad dogs – Caller upset with the neighbor’s dogs being aggressive and barking at the fence. They charge at the caller when she is outside but have not bitten or crossed onto her property. Animal control will work with the owner on the laws of aggressive dogs. McLean Rd., Greater La Conner.
