Sunday, August 14

1:20 p.m .: Stranded on sand bar – A pleasure boat got stuck on a sand bar near Goat Island. The boat owner was able to contact a vessel tow service who assisted in getting the boat off the sand bar and underway. Goat Island, Greater La Conner.

Monday, August 15

11:13 a.m .: Lost keys – A set of keys were believed to be misplaced at the tavern. There were no reports of turned in keys during the time frame they went missing. 1st St., La Conner.

Tuesday, August 16

12:07 p.m .: Stolen backpack – A North Face backpack was taken from the store. Employees suspect a male who was in the store took the backpack. The theft was not witnessed, and the male denied taking anything. 1st St., La Conner.

Wednesday, August 17

10:22 a.m .: Shed burglary – A suspect used bolt cutters to cut the lock on a shed. Taken from inside the shed was a Stihl lawn trimmer and gas can. A suspect has not yet been identified. Whatcom St., La Conner.


1:21 p.m .: Forced open garage– A side door on the garage was forced open and it appeared entry was made into the building. The door and threshold were damaged. Nothing was reported missing at this time. 4th St., La Conner.

Thursday, August 18

11:18 a.m .: Jet ski trouble – A derelict jet ski hull was observed drifting in the channel. The hull was recovered and secured to a pole. The registered owner was not able to be contacted. 1st St., La Conner.

Friday, August 19

5:32 a.m .: Suspicious Honda – A 2007 Honda Pilot was left unoccupied in the driveway. It was unknown who left the vehicle at the location. Law enforcement arrived and determined it was the same vehicle involved in an eluding case with law enforcement earlier in the day. The registered owner arrived and took possession of the vehicle. Bradshaw Rd., Greater La Conner.

6:38 a.m .: Hit and run – Hit and run collision of an unoccupied car parked in the street. The suspect vehicle collided into the rear of the parked car and left the scene. The suspect vehicle was not able to be identified on security cameras. 3rd St., La Conner.

Saturday, August 20

8:12 a.m .: Dog on the loose– A loose dog crossed McLean Road and the caller was concerned about it. The dog was taken back to the location it was found by a citizen. McLean Rd., Greater La Conner.

12:27 p.m .: Pedestrian hit– Vehicle vs. pedestrian collision at an intersection. The driver of a pickup truck did not see the pedestrian in the cross walk and collided into him at a low speed while turning. The pedestrian was knocked to the ground. He was treated on scene by fire and EMS and then transported to Island Hospital for additional treatment. 1st St., La Conner.
