La Conner's May median sold home price: $500,000

Nine La Conner area homes sold for a median price of $500,000 in May, a 26% climb from the $396,000 April median sale price for the five homes sold that month, NWMLS (Northwest Multiple Listing Service) data show.

Median home sale prices for the 178 homes and condos sold in Skagit County were $555,000 last month, an 8% drop from April's $592,000.

Median home prices were down in seven of the nine Skagit County areas, with only La Conner and Lyman/Hamilton prices above April’s.

In Anacortes home prices dropped 9% and again are below $800,000, to $731,000 for the 38 homes and condos sold.

Countywide, new home inventory is unchanged from April, with slightly more than one month available. La Conner, Burlington and Sedro-Woolley are all projected to have over a month's inventory, while it is under one month in the county’s two largest housing markets, Anacortes and Mount Vernon.

More home sales were pending in the county in May, up 39 to 222 over April, a 21% increase.

The 165 Skagit County homes that closed in May were 23 more, up 16% from April’s closing. In La Conner, the nine closed home sales is almost a doubling from April.

The median sales price is the point where half of the home sales are above it and half are below it.
