Monday, Feb. 22

11:02 a.m .: Theft of tools – Caller reported a burglary with tools taken. Deputies are continuing their investigation. Town Public Works shop. N. 3rd St., La Conner.

2:47 p.m .: Dangerous bird – Report of a white Ford pickup driving at a high rate, tailgating and passing in a no passing zone. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle. Fir Island / Maupin Rds., Conway.

7:59 p.m .: Stealing the dregs – Report of a theft of a tip jar. The caller then decided they did not want to report the theft at this time. Morris St., La Conner.

Tuesday, Feb. 23

8:11 a.m .: Federal Reserve called – Caller reported someone called saying they were from the Federal Reserve and that she had a warrant out for her arrest. The caller did not give out any sensitive information and felt this was a fraudulent call. Washington St., La Conner.


1:14 p.m .: Robot called – Caller received a “robo call” saying they had committed SSI fraud. The caller knew it was fraudulent and wanted the sheriff’s office notified. Ring Ln., La Conner.

5:04 p.m .: Slip sliding away – Car vs fence motor vehicle accident. Vehicle slipped on the slushy roadway and struck a fence. McLean / La Conner Whitney Rds., Greater La Conner.

Wednesday, Feb. 24

12:36 p.m .: Came back for seconds – Caller reported she had scared off a husky-type dog that had killed her chickens last week. The dog owner was contacted to secure the dog. Beaver Marsh Rd., Greater La Conner.

2:56 p.m .: Speaking tough no crime – Report of a tenant making threats to the new building owner. Deputies advised the comments made were not a crime at this time. Whatcom St., La Conner.


Saturday, Feb. 27

10:29 a.m .: Still hungry – Caller reported she had scared off a husky-type dog that had killed her chickens last week. Deputies checked the area for the dog, but were unable to locate it. Beaver Marsh Rd., Greater La Conner.

11:58 a.m .: These are scam times – Caller reported a fraud on their bank account. The caller had already contacted the bank. S. 3rd St., La Conner.

1:18 p.m .: Whose dog? – Caller stated that there was a husky in the roadway. Calhoun Rd., Greater La Conner.

3:39 p.m .: Same dog? – Caller reported a dog that was hit by a vehicle. Deputies checked for the dog, but it was gone on arrival. McLean / Bradshaw Rds., Greater La Conner.


4:18 p.m .: Petty theft defined – Caller reported a theft of property. The caller said the suspect ordered food to go and when the worker went to cook the food, the suspect stole several items. Morris St., La Conner.

Monday, March 1

9:06 a.m .: Oops-False alarm. Alarm set off by worker arriving for work. A drugstore, Morris St., La Conner.
