Monday April 14

9:04 a.m .: Theft – Welding equipment was stolen from a locked storage container atConwayElementary School. There have been a number of thefts during the school’s construction project.

4:21 p.m .: Tulip tickets – About 40 vehicles were parked in a no parking zone onBest Road east of La Conner. The deputy issued two citations while the rest of the errant parkers ran back to their vehicles and to avoid tickets.

5:21 p.m .: Theft – Somebody stole a pottery vase from in front of a gift shop onFirst Street in La Conner.

10:52 p.m .: Please check – A person in La Conner was worried that a family hadn’t arrived at their destination for the night. They were found at a hospital, still visiting with the person who was their reason for being away.


Tuesday April 15

3 p.m .: Kids in car – Two children were left in a car along for about five minutes near Snow Goose Farms nearConway. The vehicle had left by the time deputies were notified.

Thursday April 17

12:20 p.m .: Roaming pooch – An AWOL Chihuahua was found onMyrtle Street in La Conner.

Friday April 18

11:55: Tulip trauma – Someone called to complain that they were almost hit by “Tulip Traffic” onBeaver Marsh Road east of La Conner.

Friday April 18

2:22 p.m .: Just checking – A five year old told her mother inConway that her dad’s dog bit her. Mom did not look for an injury, but several days later asked deputies to go to the dad’s house to check the child for a bite. The parents have court orders not to contact each other.


Sunday April 20

10:12 a.m .: Wallet found – Someone left their wallet at Calico Cupboard in La Conner. There was no ID in the wallet, but some cash.

12:54: Alarmist pooch – A dog left in a vehicle parked at theHistoricalMuseum in La Conner set off the car alarm.
