Monday, July 5

8:09 p.m .: Left boat behind – Ten foot boat abandoned on the rocks for the past several days. State parks will handle. Deception Pass Bridge.

9:20 p.m .: Cold shot – Report of a family member that drove by the caller’s property and fired a gun at a trail head nearby the day before. Farm to Market Rd., Bay View.

10:58 p.m .: Usual suspects – Report of fireworks in the area. The deputy sat in the area and only saw fireworks from the reservation. S. 4th St., La Conner.

Tuesday, July 6

11:03 a.m .: They don’t shoot horses – Report of several dead horses in a field. Animal Control Office staff drove to the area and only found healthy horses. La Conner Whitney / McLean Rds., Greater La Conner.

10:37 p.m .: After the fight – Deputies responded to a reported physical fight in progress. Deputies arrived and located an involved female walking away from the scene. The other involved party was reported to have left in a vehicle prior to deputies’ arrival. Deputies contacted the female who denied any fight or physical altercation. The female was determined to have a felony warrant out of Superior Court and was arrested on the warrant and booked into the Skagit County Community Justice Center. La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.


Wednesday, July 7

8:33 a.m .: Homeless are here – Report of vagrants trespassing on vacant property and possibly consuming liquor and controlled substances. The caller also reported a neighbor’s child had found a discarded syringe on the ground. Deputies responded and collected the syringe and obtained a trespass request letter from the property owners. No trespassers were contacted on the property at that time. Washington Ave. / Whatcom St., La Conner.


Nell Thorn Reservations

10:47 a.m .: Seen but not found – Caller reported a vehicle that had rear-ended another vehicle, then hit a second vehicle. The caller said all three cars left the scene and had no further information. Deputies checked the area and did not locate any of the involved vehicles. Maple Ave., La Conner.

3:47 p.m .: Weaving speeder – Report of a possible DUI that passed the caller and was weaving at varying speeds. Best / Chilberg Rds, Greater La Conner.

10:04 p.m .: Tree tagged again – Report of a tree being tagged with graffiti and fireworks being set off in the porta potty. Deputies checked the skate park and located black spray-painted graffiti on the tree and a smoke grenade in the porta potty. There was no damage to the porta potty and no one at the skate park. N. 6th St., La Conner.


Friday, July 9

3:34 p.m .: Car call canceled – Caller reported her vehicle had been stolen. The caller called back and said she had found her vehicle and deputies did not need to respond. S. 6th /Morris Sts., La Conner.

4:50 p.m .: Black truck trouble – Report of a black truck with erratic lane travel. Deputies checked the area, Unable to Locate. Calhoun / Chilberg Rds., Greater La Conner.

4:52 p.m .: Code enforcer needed – Report of a RV parked blocking a fire lane and crosswalk. Deputies were Unable to Locate. S. 1st St., La Conner.


Saturday, July 10

12:39 a.m .: Making waves – Report of speeding boats in the no wake zone of the Swinomish Channel. The Sheriff’s Marine Patrol Unit was made aware of the complaint. S. 1st St., La Conner.

12:22 p.m .: Goat for sale – Caller reported a stolen goat on Craigslist. Deputies investigated and found that the goat owner had given permission for the goat to be sold. Bradshaw Rd., Greater La Conner.

Monday, July 12

12:35 a.m .: No reindeer scat – Report of someone on the roof on La Conner Elementary School. Deputies checked the school roof and did not locate anyone or any access to the roof. N. 6th St., La Conner.
