Monday, May 24

5:37 p.m .: Dog running free – Report of a black dog running in the roadway toward La Conner. Deputy checked the area, but was unable to locate it. Chilberg / Best Rds., Greater La Conner.

Tuesday, May 25

1:21 a.m .: Shots heard – Caller reported hearing six gunshots in the area of the train tracks near Bayview Edison Rd. Deputies checked the area and did not locate any evidence of a weapon being fired. La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.

7:35 a.m .: In ditch – Deputies responded to a report of a car in a ditch. They contacted the driver and arrested him on suspicion of DUI. Kamb / Calhoun Rds., Greater La Conner.

9:29 a.m .: Tagged – Caller reported gang graffiti on the observation deck. Bay View Edison Rd., Bay View.

10:25 a.m .: Found and barred – Deputies responded to a cold shoplifting. Deputies were able to identify the male and female suspect. Deputies were able to contact the male suspect and issue a trespass admonishment. The female will also be trespassed when located. Morris St., La Conner.


8:13 p.m .: Light’s out – Deputies stopped a vehicle for defective taillights and found the driver had a suspended driver’s license, no insurance, and no ignition interlock. The driver was cited for those offenses. Bay View Edison Rd. / SR 20 Bay View.

Wednesday, May 26

12:20 p.m .: Bad habit – Caller reported a van running stop signs in the area of 5th St. Sgt Willard observed the van coming out of La Conner and warned the driver about the complaint. N. 5th St., Greater La Conner.


2:10 p.m .: Headed east – Caller reported following a vehicle that was swerving. Vehicle was last seen eastbound on Chilberg Road leaving the city. Rainbow Brdg / Pioneer Pkwy., La Conner.

2:59 p.m .: One theory – Caller reported damage to the bank of mailboxes at their apartment, because the mailman was having a difficult time getting them to re-lock. Park St., La Conner.

Thursday, May 27

6:20 p.m .: Cut and run – Caller reported a thief had cut through a fence and stole a red Honda XR70 and a gas can from his carport. McLean Rd., Greater La Conner.

Friday, May 28

12:13 p.m .: Well, yes – Report of a manhole lid in the roadway. Deputies responded and were unable to locate it. Maple Ave., La Conner.

Saturday, May 29

5:57 p.m .: Spring on country roads – Report of two motorcycles passing cars and racing in the area. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to locate them. McLean / Best Rds., Greater La Conner.


Sunday, May 30

9:18 a.m .: Passing gas between friends – Report of a male subject who entered private property and took a gas can. The property owner caught the person, who said he would return the can when finished with it. The caller is familiar with the subject. N. 3rd St., La Conner.

10:26 a.m .: Possible burglary – Report of a male rummaging through a detached garage. The caller said the male walked out of the garage possibly carrying a gas can in his hand. La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.
