Monday, April 26

6:17 p.m.: OKed by dad – Caller reported an ongoing problem with people trespassing from the dike onto her property. The caller said there were two people trespassing today, but they had permission from her father. Best Rd., Greater La Conner.

Tuesday, April 27

11:21 a.m.: On her mind – Caller reported a cold theft of jewelry box from her prior residence. Maple Ave., La Conner.

Wednesday, April 28

10:08 p.m.: Bad report – Deputies checked on a report of an abandoned vehicle. It was located and was legally parked. N. 1st St., La Conner.

Thursday, April 29

2:29 p.m.: Stop that man – Caller reported a disgruntled former employee was on site causing problems and taking equipment from the garage. Channel Dr., Greater La Conner.

3:59 p.m.: Dog gone – Report of a golden retriever locked in a car with the windows only cracked. Deputies checked for the vehicle and it was gone on arrival. S. 1st St., La Conner.

6:45 p.m.: Universal mistake – Caller reported she had left her purse in the public restrooms. Morris St., La Conner.

Saturday, May 1

11:17 a.m.: Unlikely missionary – Caller wanted to report she was reviewing security video from the previous day at her house and observed a male with turquoise hair going to her doors and knocking while mumbling to himself. Chilberg Rd., Greater La Conner.

Sunday, May 2

12:43 a.m.: Move ‘em along – Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in their parking lot. Deputies contacted two people sleeping in the car and told them there was no overnight parking. No evidence of any theft. La Conner Whitney Rd., Greater La Conner.

8:52 a.m.: Or someone’s treasure – Caller reported an abandoned van full of junk. Conner Wy., La Conner.

1:55 p.m.: Worse up close – Deputies responded to a truck vs. car T-bone accident. A witness to the collision reported that the car failed to stop at the stop sign and the large truck struck it on the driver’s side. Calhoun Rd., See photo, page 1. Greater La Conner.

10:47 p.m.: Missed curve, got signs – Deputies located three Skagit County owned curve signs knocked over and broken off at the ground. Deputies examined the scene and could see where a vehicle had missed the corner, striking two posts. The vehicle then backed out of the field and struck the third post. The vehicle left the scene of the accident. Public Works notified. Bay View Edison Rd / SR 20, Greater La Conner.
