We are heartbroken that a ray of sunshine with hair the colors of the rainbow departed this earth. Tara Lin (Rosenberger) Little, 40, of Oak Harbor passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Whatcom Hospice House.

She was born in Nashville, Tennessee to Lawrence Rosenberger and Cheryl Lane. She is survived by her parents, beloved daughter Savannah, son Ryan, sister Jessica, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Nate and Marilyn Welch, her dear friends “the biscuits” Corinne, Sami, Charity and her loving furry friend and companion Medic.

Tara loved her co-workers and residents of Rosario Assisted Living in Anacortes. She was pre-deceased by her dear friend, Jessica Arnold.

During her time in La Conner she worked at Pioneer Market and the La Conner Retirement Inn. She was a volunteer and resident firefighter of District 13 Fire Department, where she received numerous awards for dedication to duty and recognized as the Volunteer of the Year. She so loved the fire department that she successfully completed the Skagit Valley College EMT course and passed the state examination.

Tara made life an adventure and took roads less traveled. She commercially fished the Salish Sea with Nate, sold fireworks for Lorraine, learned to hang fishing nets with Marcia, used a chain saw, decorated her home and established a standard for Christmas decorations.

She was a rescuer of people and animals. Tara is the reason why, in a certain neighborhood, two Canadian geese can be found pecking at a sliding glass door, walking down Snee-Oosh or at the beach and someone in this group of friends is sleeping beside a duck. She had a passion for helping others and a smile that brightened the day for all who met her.

Peace be with you Tara. Know that you are loved and we, who are lucky enough to be part of your life, cherish you. You will be remembered and missed.
