WHEN IT POURS THE SAMISH RIVER FLOODS – Rain from last week’s storms added up to the Samish River cresting Nov.15 at 14 feet. Chuckanut Drive was closed near Allen West Road. The next day, Tuesday, Ezra Fowler, right, was canoed by his landlord, Ken Vonnegut, to the dry part of the road. Vonnegut had first brought Marissa Conklin out from the couple’s apartment.
